Brett Favre was born on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Standing at 6 foot 2 inches and weighing in at 220 pounds, it is easy to understand why Favre is recognized as one of the best quarterbacks of all time. Along with his ideal construct, Favre also has one of the greatest minds the game has ever seen. His smarts are what have helped him to win at every degree of football possible.

His first love was the sport of basketball, while he played several sports. His father was his coach in senior school, and ironically enough Favre rarely put the ball more than five times in any given game. After high school Favre decided to just take his sport to Southern Mississippi while they were the only real university to offer him a scholarship.
